Participation in Community, Social and Civic Activities
Orient Solutions could help participants improve their participation in community, social, and recreational activities. Our cooperative Support workers would be more than happy to provision for community-based activities and assistance in joining social groups in a variety of settings, including the community, a centre, or a sporting venue.
Below are few examples of activities could seek support to engage in:
- Attending a course or class to pursue a hobby
- Participating in a club or social group
- Going on vacation or just for a day out
- Attending a play or concert, or even going to the movies
- Participating in a camp
- Develop skills for getting out and about, such as using public transportation.
- Understanding how to use social media
Our services are not limited to those provided inside the home, but also include activities such as:
- Gardening,
- Cleaning the backyard,
- Shopping for groceries,
- Garbage removal,
and other household tasks that are permissible under the individual’s support plan
